Minds at Play Preschool is a play-based, child centered program with an emergent approach to learning. Our program is designed to support the whole child, focusing on key developmental domains including social-emotional, cognitive and physical development. Language, literacy, early math, large and fine motor skills are integrated within a natural and organic setting.

 

Children have the opportunity and freedom to explore and engage with their surroundings at their own individual pace. Activities of interest and recurring themes within their play will begin to emerge, setting the tone for our curriculum in the process. Within this framework, a more authentic curriculum is created as ideas are generated by the children themselves. Our program is playful, flexible, open-ended and continues to grow as do children, consistently evolving. This approach to learning, empowers children, making them an integral component to their learning, becoming active learners in the process.
